HOW WE GOT STARTED

Ealden Lab was founded in 2024 by scientists in the Cellicon Valley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with the goal of enabling therapeutic startups to fast-track discovery and preclinical research with minimal investment.

We are privately owned, and although still a small organization, we support clients worldwide.

OUR TEAM

  • Co-Founder & Head Scientist

Monichan leads the discovery and translational biology research at Ealden Lab, supporting innovative preclinical solutions for early-stage biotech and pharmaceutical companies. With over 15 years of experience in academic research and drug development, she has successfully advanced multiple programs from pipeline development to IND-enabling studies and clinical phases.

Moni specializes in small non-coding regulatory RNA biology, neurobiology, and the modeling of CNS and ocular diseases. She is passionate about developing molecular tools and creating cell- and organoid-based models to study neurodegenerative diseases. Her work emphasizes the integration of automation, quantitative imaging, and the development of robust data analysis pipelines.

When not at work, Moni enjoys skiing and hiking with her family.

OUR VALUES

Excellent in Every Data Point

Every data point we generate has the potential to shape critical decisions, whether it’s securing funding, filling IP, or advancing a therapy toward the clinic. We believe in maintaining the highest standard of scientific rigor to provide our clients with actionable insights to their biological questions.

Collaboration Centric

We believe that best scientific breakthrough emerge from collaborative work. We see our ourselves not as a service provider but as an extension of our clients’ teams. That’s why we work closely with our clients, maintaining clear and open communication throughout every project. This approach ensures that our services aligned with their research goals and adaptable to evolving priorities.

Innovation and Accessibility

Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach, we believe in using variety of methods and instruments for their unique strength. This allow us to address scientific questions with greater sensitivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Our commitment to innovation and efficiency ensure that even startups with lean budget can access the support they needed to drive meaningful progress.
